The front tool has a 1/2-inch drive opening. The rear tool names retainer references 41231-286-000 and 41231-429-000, with either a 22mm hex or a 3/8-inch square-drive connection.

A ring tool has a specific engagement

The rear tool engages a bearing retaining ring; it is not a complete bearing extractor. Honda shows staked retainers in the F rear-wheel assembly. Follow the F procedure for releasing the locking stakes, inspecting the threads and securing the retainer after service rather than forcing the ring with improvised punches.

Prepare for the whole wheel service

Plan bearing removal and installation equipment separately from the retainer tool. Inspect the ring, hub threads, bearings and seals after removal. A damaged ring or thread needs attention before reassembly; using the correct tool does not make all removed parts reusable.

Buying questions

Why should a staked retainer not simply be forced loose?

The stake is a locking feature. Follow the Honda procedure to release it before turning the ring, then inspect the retainer and hub threads. Forcing it can damage the engagement or threads and make the bearing repair more difficult.

Does the retainer tool also remove and install the bearing?

It is described for the retaining ring. Bearing extraction and installation need their own suitable tools and support method. Plan that equipment from the F wheel procedure before starting, and identify the wheel hub and sprocket-carrier positions separately.

How do I choose the tool after a wheel conversion?

Identify the hub and ring actually fitted and match their engagement and references. The front and rear tools also have different drive arrangements. A CB900F category application cannot verify the retainer used by a different wheel assembly.
