Because this kit rebuilds only one piston, 4 kits are needed to rebuild all pistons in a 4‑cylinder engine — please confirm before ordering.

How many 56 mm piston kits are required for a 1971-1973 Honda CB500K?

One standard-size 56 mm piston, ring set, wrist pin and two pin clips are included. The CB500K four-cylinder engine requires four kits to replace all four pistons.

Can a standard-size CB500K piston be installed without measuring the cylinder?

No. Measure bore diameter, taper, out-of-round and piston-to-wall clearance. A worn or previously overbored cylinder may require machining and a correctly sized oversize piston instead.

What must be checked during piston installation?

Verify ring end gaps in the actual bore, ring orientation, piston direction and wrist-pin clip seating to the Honda manual. Keep each ring and piston matched to its measured cylinder.
