Compare the signal stays and mounting hardware

The front stay listings separate body length, thread length and overall length. The pinch-bolt set supplies hardware for two signals. Match those descriptions to the parts fitted rather than treating every stem or fastener package alike.

The longer stay is 65 mm at the body, 25 mm at the thread and 90 mm overall. The short stay is 26 mm at the body, 21 mm at the thread and 47 mm overall. Compare corresponding dimensions; neither body length nor total length alone identifies every aspect of the mounting.

Count the signals covered by the hardware

The pinch-bolt pack covers two signals with two bolts, two nuts and four flat washers. Two packs are specified for all four signals. These fasteners clamp the lamp to the stem, a separate connection from attaching the stem itself.

Should I compare stay body length or total length?

Compare both, plus thread length. The longer stay is 65 / 25 / 90 mm and the short version 26 / 21 / 47 mm for body / thread / total respectively. Use the same measurement points on the installed stay.

Does the short front stay include its nut and washer?
