1970 Honda CB750K · Seat Covers & Hardware Buying guide

Choose a duck-tail or non-duck-tail seat cover

Both cover descriptions include a 1970 application and direct buyers to compare their shapes. A complete duck-tail seat is another purchase, while hinges, pins and support rubbers can be assessed separately on the existing assembly.

Compare both upholstery styles before using a model-year match

The non-duck-tail cover and duck-tail cover both include 1970 in their applications. Their descriptions tell buyers to compare the raised rear and stitching differences. Use the existing seat shape to choose the cover, particularly if the seat has changed during the motorcycle’s life.

Check the complete seat mounting arrangement

Honda changed the seat, latch and hook for the K1 and allowed interchange when all three were replaced together. Inspect the underside, latch and hook on the fitted motorcycle before choosing a complete seat. The offered complete assembly is described as the early 1969–70 duck-tail design; the cover choice still follows the seat pan and upholstery shape.

Questions that help you choose

Why do two different cover styles list the 1970 model?

The descriptions distinguish duck-tail and non-duck-tail seat shapes and specifically tell 1970 buyers to compare them. Check the actual raised rear profile and stitching rather than assuming the model year identifies the upholstery pattern.

Do either of the covers include hardware or chrome trim?

Both cover descriptions state that hardware and trim are not included. They describe upholstery with a reinforced passenger strap and foam layer. Review the separate complete seat listing if the project requires an assembly rather than a cover.

Can an earlier seat and a K1 latch be mixed?

Do not assume the individual pieces interchange. Honda’s K1 supplement describes replacing the seat, latch and hook together for early/K1 interchange. Compare that complete arrangement on the motorcycle before ordering an assembly, especially when the seat or latch has previously been changed.
