1975 Honda CB500T · Face Plates & Decals Buying guide
Use this only when you want MPH markings on the 1975-76 gauges you already have. It will not give you a KPH scale. Mounting holes are pre-cut. Trip and odometer windows are not pre-cut.
These decals print MPH for both original gauges. They do not print KPH, and they do not change the cable drive. If the bike should read kilometers, this is the wrong face. If it should read miles, this is the 1975-76 CB500T set. A 1400 rpm KPH ratio belongs on an instrument, not this decal.
Choose these decals to keep the original gauges and change the printed face to MPH. Choose a replacement speedometer for another diameter or a printed KPH ratio. This set still means opening both gauges, removing the old printing, and cutting the odometer and trip windows later.
The decal must be applied over the original gauge face to illuminate, and the speedometer and tach must be taken apart. Nothing here describes skipping that step. Remove the original printing on the plastic face first.
No. It is MPH for the 1975-76 CB500T speedometer and tach. Kilometers are not on this set. It also states no drive ratio, so 7:1 or a speedometer ratio is a choice of instrument, not of this decal.
Mounting holes are pre-cut. Openings for the odometer and tripmeter must be cut after the decal is applied. Do that on both the speedometer face and the tach face. The set is made in North America and is meant for the original gauges.
