1981 Honda CB650C Custom · Fuse Holder & Fasteners Buying guide

Check the fuse-box identity and its mounting condition

The complete assembly references 38200-MF9-405. The two black cover screws are separately available. A discounted version with damaged tabs also appears in the selection, so read condition details when comparing an apparently similar fuse box.

Separate supplied fuses from service decisions

The ordinary assembly includes 15A fuses. That is a contents statement, not permission to change the protection required by a modified or repaired circuit. Identify any overheating or repeated fuse failure before selecting the repair and preserve the specified rating.

Compare standard and damaged-mount stock carefully

The clearance fuse-box product is explicitly described with partially or fully broken mounting tabs. The featured ordinary assembly is a different purchase. Assess secure mounting requirements rather than treating the cheaper item’s damage description as irrelevant to the installation.

Fuse Holder & Fasteners questions

What needs checking before a replacement fuse box is energized?

Disconnect the battery, then inspect the old box, terminals and nearby harness for heat damage, corrosion, loose connections or pinched wiring. Correct the underlying fault before energizing the replacement.

Are cover screws part of the same package?

The cover screws are offered as a separate two-piece set. Compare the existing cover and fasteners before adding them, rather than assuming the fuse-box assembly renews every nearby screw.

What should I do if a fuse keeps blowing?

Use only the rating specified for that circuit and motorcycle. Repeated fuse failure calls for diagnosis of a short, overload or component fault; do not fit a larger fuse to mask it.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
