Alternator set 24-2001 supplies two 18 × 5 × 4.5 mm brushes with clip mounts, referencing 31124-MG5-000 / 31124-422-005 / 31125-422-000. Starter set 24-2021 supplies two 12 × 14 × 6 mm brushes for the Mitsuba two-brush design: one insulated lead and one non-insulated lead. Its references are 31201-292-158 / 31201-MG9-004.

Identify the eight-wire regulator precisely

Regulator 24-2030 references 31600-460-731 / 31600-426-000. Its eight wires occupy two housings: five wires in the six-prong plug and three in the four-prong plug. Compare the occupied positions as well as the housing shapes when identifying the replacement.

Starter & Charging Parts questions

Will this brush set suit a replacement starter just because it is a Mitsuba?

The selected set is specified for a Mitsuba two-brush design, not every starter carrying that name. Compare the replacement motor’s brush arrangement, dimensions and lead details; the motorcycle application does not establish the identity of a motor fitted later.

Do matching plugs establish regulator suitability after a battery conversion?
