Match each lever to the control that holds it

The brake lever replaces reference 53175-438-010; the clutch lever uses 53178-461-000. The Custom cable is another separate part, so compare mounting, cable ends and routing rather than ordering by appearance.

Check pivots as well as lever shape

A replacement lever does not address worn or missing pivot hardware. Brake and clutch pivot sets have different stated contents, so inspect the control and order the correct set if needed. Preserve the proper safety-switch operation after any control repair.

Use the Custom cable application

The cable is listed for the 1980–81 CB650C and replaces reference 22870-460-700. If handlebars or perches differ from the original arrangement, compare reach and routing with the actual motorcycle before ordering rather than relying on the model label alone.

Are the black levers supplied as a pair?

They are separate brake and clutch product entries with different references. Select each side needed and check its matching perch or master-cylinder application.

Will the stock-type brake lever fit a universal master cylinder?

Only use it if the master-cylinder application is verified. Some aftermarket units require their own dedicated levers, even when their finish and general shape look similar.

What if I have taller handlebars?

Compare the cable ends, routing and available reach before ordering. The selected cable is the listed Custom replacement; its application does not verify extra reach for an altered bar setup.
