Choose the side-specific switch assembly for the control being repaired on your 1980 CB650. The left clutch-side and right brake-side replacements route their wires outside the handlebar. Inspect the fitted loom and bars before ordering, particularly after a custom wiring or handlebar change.

Choose the correct side and plan the external leads
The black assemblies are separate left and right products. Match the side and control functions first, then compare the harness interface and available route for the externally run wiring.
The left control serves turn signals, horn and lighting. The right control is the brake-side switch assembly. Select the side needing repair and compare the fitted connections before buying; neither listing should be treated as a combined left-and-right package.
Verify routing on custom handlebars
Both replacements use external wiring. If the existing leads run inside the bars, check how the new wiring will be routed before purchase. Use the correct wiring diagram and product instructions to verify circuits rather than matching colors alone.
Ordering questions
Are the two sides supplied together?
They are separate products. Choose the left or right assembly required for the repair, or order both when both sides have a verified replacement need.
Can I use them with internally routed handlebar wiring?
The replacements are specified for external routing. Compare the proposed route and connections with the installed bars and harness before choosing them for an internal-wiring setup.
What should I verify on an altered harness?
Check the connector housing, occupied wire positions and circuit functions against the wiring diagram. A matching color or approximate connector shape does not identify every previous wiring change.
