2005 Honda CB900F 919 · Electrical Buying guide

Choose the component after diagnosis

These featured parts handle oil-pressure warning, starter-terminal protection and battery retention. A warning lamp or slow-starting complaint needs diagnosis before buying a switch, cover or band.

Do not dismiss an oil-pressure warning

Switch 37240-P13-013 operates the warning-light circuit; it is not a pressure-gauge sender. If the warning remains after starting or appears while running, stop the engine and check the oil level. Establish the cause before riding; a new switch cannot repair low oil pressure.

Check an ignition conversion separately

The two Dynatek listings in this category describe pairs of dual-output 3-ohm coils, with one package also including cut-to-fit plug wires. Their own instructions require matching the ignition system. Confirm the exact coil model, ignition compatibility, wiring and mounting before ordering; the shared category is not model-specific conversion approval.

Electrical questions

Will an oil-pressure switch fix low oil pressure?

No. This switch operates the warning-light circuit. If the warning stays on after starting or appears while the engine is running, stop the engine and investigate before riding; replacing the switch cannot correct a mechanical pressure problem.

Will a new terminal boot cure slow cranking?

The boot is a protective cover. It does not replace the cable, battery or starter motor. Diagnose slow cranking separately and inspect the covered connection before deciding which parts need renewal.

Are the listed 3-ohm Dynatek coils a confirmed 919 upgrade?

No exact 919 conversion approval is established here. Preserve the manufacturer’s ignition-system requirements and confirm the complete coil, wiring and mounting application. Resistance alone, or inclusion in this category, does not prove compatibility.
