1971 Honda CB750K · Air Filters, Vent Filters Buying guide

Start with the airbox or the intake fitted in its place

The stock element and cover gasket are useful comparisons for an airbox service. Clamp-on pods require checking the fitted carburetor inlet and the intake arrangement before choosing a replacement.

Service the retained airbox as an assembly

The stock filter element, cover gasket and cover bolt O-rings have separate listings. Identify which seals and filter parts your airbox needs, then compare the existing components before ordering. The cover gasket’s stated application starts at 1971, so do not select it solely from a broad SOHC filter application.

Keep airbox components matched to the housing

Honda’s K1 supplement treats the air-cleaner pieces and battery cover as a matched set for earlier/revised interchange. Identify the housing and adjacent cover before choosing individual replacement pieces.

Choosing parts for your 1971 CB750K

Does the stock filter listing include the airbox cover seals?

The catalog lists the stock element, cover gasket and cover bolt O-rings separately. Do not assume the element supplies those seals. Compare the retained airbox and order the specific parts required for its service.

Is the black 39mm pod sold as a four-filter set?

The black-end 39mm pod listing says it is sold individually. Confirm the inlet diameter on the fitted carburetors and order the quantity required. Other intake packages, such as the velocity stacks, have their own stated contents.

Are velocity stacks another version of the stock filter?

No. The listing describes a four-piece stack set with integrated debris screens, while the stock item is an air filter element. Review that distinction and the actual intake requirements before choosing a modified arrangement for the motorcycle.
