Description

Build a custom satin-black headlight with this 7" Satin Black Side-Mount Headlight Shell with Chrome Trim Ring. Designed for 7" sealed type headlights, includes a 3-wire plug that works with sealed beam or H4 bulbs plus clip/screw and wire clips. Features a 40mm hole in the back for routing wires inside the headlight (some larger connectors may need to be de-pinned to fit).

Side mounting holes are threaded for 5/16-24 bolts (bolts not included). Outer side mounting points are 7" apart, with a 3" mounting depth from mounting holes to the back of the bucket.

Sealed beam headlight sold separately (#09-0051).

No. SKU 09-0084 includes the satin-black shell, chrome trim ring, three-wire plug, retaining clip and screw, and wire clips; the 7-inch headlamp is sold separately under SKU 09-0051.

What mounting hardware and dimensions are required for the 7-inch headlight shell?

The shell is intended for 1969-1978 Honda CB750 models and Honda CB500/CB550 models, but the mounting measurements still need to match. Its side holes are threaded 5/16-24, the bolts are not included, the outer mount points are 7 inches apart, and depth from the mounting holes to the bucket rear is about 3 inches.

Will motorcycle wiring connectors pass through the rear of the headlight shell?

The rear wire-routing hole is 40 mm in diameter. Connectors wider than 40 mm must be de-pinned and reassembled after the wires pass through, or the wiring must be routed with another suitable method.
