1976 Honda CB500T · Headlamp, Bulbs & Parts Buying guide

Shell hardware, not a guess at the bulb

Buy the rim that matches the retainer you removed. Buy the plug if the connector is brittle. Buy a collar only when that ring is the worn piece.

Two rim parts, two numbers

33101-404-671 is the rim and retainer. 33101-300-673 is the headlight assembly rim. They are easy to order as a pair when you only needed one. Look at whether your retainer is still usable. The adjusting screw and spring set, 33103-346-670, is the aim hardware and does not include either rim.

Reflector rubber is not a rim

The reflector rubber base replaces 33743-375-000. The stay bolt is a fastener. Neither one is the headlight rim or the plug. If the bucket wobbles on a good rim, look at those pieces. If the rim itself is bent, look at the 33101 parts.

Headlight questions

Is a bulb included with the rim?

No. The rim and retainer replace 33101-404-671. The plug replaces 33130-300-003. A bulb is not what these descriptions are selling.

Which collar is which?

The setting collar replaces 61304-292-000. The case collar replaces 61302-300-000. Match the ring you removed.

Do I need both rim parts?

Only if both are damaged. 33101-404-671 includes a retainer. 33101-300-673 is the assembly rim. Compare them with the shell in your hands.
