Check the control underneath the lever

An old motorcycle can retain its original handlebars while carrying a changed master cylinder. Compare the lever pivot and operating-contact shape with that fitted assembly. A model-year match is useful evidence, but it does not identify an aftermarket control already installed.

Inspect the small parts while the lever is off

The pivot bolt and nut are a separate set. Look for wear at the lever and pivot as a pair before deciding what to replace. The linked clutch switch is another distinct part; verify its connector and mounting when addressing an electrical switching problem.

Ordering questions

Will these levers fit an aftermarket master cylinder?

That is not established by the motorcycle application. Match the lever to the actual control manufacturer and mounting geometry; an aftermarket master may require its own dedicated replacement lever.

Is the brake pivot hardware supplied as a set?

Yes. The featured pivot set contains one bolt and one nut. It is listed separately from the brake lever, allowing you to choose it when those pieces need replacement.

What does the separate clutch-lever switch control?

Switch 29-0085 supplies the clutch-interlock signal used by the starting circuit and replaces Honda 35330-MB0-003. It is a separate electrical component at the clutch lever; its replacement is a different repair from renewing the lever or rebuilding the hydraulic control.
