Separate the two internal chain applications

The cam-drive product is a 412 × 112-link silent chain, whereas the primary chain has 50 links and different references. Those descriptions belong to separate engine assemblies. Use the correct inspection and timing procedures before deciding which component needs replacement.

Count rings after checking the cylinders

The standard ring package covers one piston. A complete four-piston ring replacement therefore requires four sets, provided standard size is correct for the measured engine. Existing oversize pistons or machining work require another verified choice.

Ordering questions

Can I choose standard rings without measuring the engine?

Confirm the bore measurements and piston markings first. The offered standard-size rings do not establish that a motorcycle with an unknown rebuild history still has standard-size pistons.

Which gaskets should I plan for timing-chain work?

Follow the intended service procedure to list every joint being opened. Match each replacement gasket to that joint and inspect the mating surfaces; the order depends on how far the engine is dismantled.

Is the primary chain a rear-drive replacement?

No. The 50-link primary chain is an internal engine component. Its category placement does not make it an appropriate replacement for the chain driving the rear wheel.
