1979 Honda CB650 · Wheel Bearings, Seals & Retainers Buying guide
The two-piece front seal kit is not a bearing kit. The rear assembly has separately listed 6304-2RS and 6305-2RS bearing types, making the removed bearing markings and parts diagram important checks.

The front kit contains two seals. One 6304-2RS rear bearing is supplied per item. Confirm each bearing position before counting replacements: a wheel with two bearing positions does not necessarily use two identical bearings, and the separately linked 6305-2RS must not be treated as another 6304.
The genuine Honda rear bearing retainer is a separate part. The linked drive-damper rubber fits between the rear sprocket hub and wheel hub, with four specified per motorcycle. Inspect these items while identifying the wheel assembly rather than assuming they come with a bearing.
Use the correctly fitting retainer tool and release any staking or locking feature as the Honda procedure directs before turning it. Improvised tools can damage the slots or aluminum hub. Inspect the hub threads, bearings, seals, internal spacer and axle during the same service.
No. Match the bearing number and position to the removed part and relevant diagram. Similar appearance does not make them alternatives for the same bearing position.
Four are specified per motorcycle. They are separate from the bearings and retainer, so order according to the number your inspection finds worn or missing.
