One B rubber is the original-bike quantity

Honda's 2005 seat listing uses one B-type rubber, 77205-286-000, alongside three other seat cushions, 77206-GF0-000. The sold-each B rubber replaces its own support; it is not a complete seat-rubber set.

Check the latch after refitting

The 2005 owner's manual shows the front seat prong engaging the fuel-tank stay and the rear prongs engaging their stays before the rear is pressed down to latch. After fitting a rubber, check that the seat is secure; a cushion cannot correct a misaligned hook or damaged latch.

Practical questions

How many B rubbers does the original seat use?

Honda lists one 77205-286-000 for the 2005 seat. It is supplied individually, so one replaces the original B support. That count does not include the three differently numbered seat cushions.

Why might the seat still move after replacing the B rubber?

The other cushions, seat base, hooks or latch may need attention. Check all support points and secure engagement instead of adding extra B rubbers to compensate for another fault.

Will the original-bike count apply to a custom seat?

Only if it retains the original support arrangement. Compare the replacement seat base and its mounting instructions; the Honda count describes the original seat, not every aftermarket base.
