1983 Honda CB550SC · Starter & Charging Buying guide
The plate kit contains more than brushes, while the separate brush set defines four pieces and their lead types. The stator and combined charging unit are independent products. Compare each with the component actually being serviced.

The plate kit supplies a plate, brushes, springs, insulators and plastic parts for Mitsuba four-brush starters. The separate brush set specifies four 12 × 10 × 5 mm brushes: two insulated and two non-insulated lead types. Match the purchase to the inspected starter rather than assuming identical contents.
The solenoid replaces 35850-MB0-007 and includes a fuse. Its pigtail/plug is an additional product explicitly described for that relay. Before connecting a replacement plug, verify wire orientation as its listing directs; wire colours alone are not a sufficient connection guide.
The separate four-brush set lists brushes and their lead types. Springs, insulators, plastic parts and the plate are named in the larger plate repair kit. Choose between the listings using the condition of the starter components you intend to retain.
The rectifier/regulator listing describes a combined replacement for the regulator and rectifier. The stator is separately listed with its own Honda references. That combined-unit description does not state that a stator is supplied or replaced by the same component.
The CB550SC listing states its model application and combined regulator/rectifier function, but does not specify battery-chemistry compatibility or a voltage setting. Check those requirements against the installed battery and obtain the relevant instructions before assuming a conversion is supported.
