1981 Honda CB650C Custom · Carburetor Holders Buying guide
Four holders are supplied. The product notes specify 50–52mm band clamps or the identified gear-clamp alternative, with eight clamps for the described arrangement. Match the existing installation before selecting replacement clamping hardware.
The set contains four carb holders. Its written contents do not include the separate clamp purchase described in the notes. Check which of the existing clamps remain suitable before adding the specified replacement type and quantity to the order.
A replacement carburetor bank or altered intake can change the required connection. Compare the actual holders and reference before relying on the original 1981 Custom application. Use the correct service procedure and final checks when fitting intake components.
Check the carburetor and engine connections, clamp condition and rack alignment as well as the rubber. Seat the holders squarely, check for intake leaks and synchronize the carburetors using the correct service procedure. New rubber cannot correct damaged mating parts or unsuitable clamps.
The notes identify 50–52mm band clamps, or the specified gear-clamp alternative. They call for eight clamps in the described arrangement; clamps are a separate purchase.
Inspect the existing clamps and match the required type and size. The holder set does not establish that every clamp is worn, but missing or unsuitable clamps must be addressed in the repair.
