1980 Honda CB650C Custom · Carburetor Rebuild & Jets Buying guide

Choose a rebuild package or focused carburetor parts

The 1980 Custom rebuild kit and individual bowl gasket and float needle support different repair scopes. Identify the installed carburetor and the parts needing renewal before combining those purchases.

Check the remaining named kit components

The rebuild kit also lists a jet needle holder, nine various O-rings, a needle screw with O-ring, and a washer. Compare those components with the repair being planned.

Identify individual repair parts by reference

The separate float needle replaces 16011-382-004. Carb-top gasket product 73-0954 replaces 16014-393-004 and explicitly lists the 1980 Custom. Use those references when checking a focused repair against the carburetor actually fitted.

Carburetor Rebuild & Jets questions

Should I add separate gaskets and a float needle with the rebuild kit?

The kit explicitly includes the float-bowl gasket, carburetor top gasket and float needle. Compare those included parts with your repair list before adding separate replacements for the same carburetor.

Does the separate float needle include a replacement seat?

That product is explicitly described as the float needle only. Identify any seat or other float-valve part needed for the repair separately rather than expecting it with the needle.

Which supplied main-jet size should I choose?

Confirm the required specification for the fitted carburetor and intake/exhaust setup before choosing between the supplied sizes. Their inclusion in the kit does not establish the correct setting for a modified motorcycle.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
