1982 Honda CB650 · Brake & Clutch Levers Buying guide
Black brake and clutch levers are available alongside a brake-pivot bolt and nut set. Compare the pivot, contact end and operating clearance before deciding that a similar-looking lever is suitable.
A dedicated aftermarket lever follows the master cylinder’s identity. For example, lever 08-0430 is specifically for assembly 08-0262. The featured black lever instead carries Honda references 53175-MA5-671 and 53175-MA6-016; matching colour alone does not establish fit.
A worn pivot can leave a new lever poorly supported. The brake-pivot set supplies one bolt and one nut. Compare that hardware with the fitted assembly and have the control’s operation checked after repair using the correct service information.
The selection also includes a chrome version against the same brake-lever references. Confirm the installed master cylinder first; matching finish does not establish mechanical compatibility.
Not automatically. Set 73-1031 supplies one bolt and one nut for its listed Honda pivot. Match the reference, pivot diameter, shoulder length, thread and perch design; an aftermarket master cylinder can use different hardware even when it is fitted to a listed motorcycle.
Match the replacement perch and lever interface directly. The standard CB650 lever application does not prove compatibility with every aftermarket clutch control.
