1982 Honda CB650 · Brake Friction & Rod Parts Buying guide
Compare the front pad outline and friction material with the fitted caliper and disc. Rear drum shoes require their own application and hardware inspection before the order is complete.
Both front pad options list 45105-MC9-305, 45105-MA5-771 and 45105-MA5-772. The rear shoes replace 06430-393-405. Compare the appropriate reference and removed part with the brake actually fitted.
Neither front-pad record states how many pads or calipers its package covers. Confirm the supplied coverage when planning the order; do not borrow a package quantity from a different pad listing.
Confirm the fitted disc’s suitability for the pad material first. If its identity or requirements are uncertain, ask the brake supplier before selecting sintered pads.
The shoe listing does not establish whether springs are supplied. Confirm the contents before ordering if your repair requires replacement springs.
The written pad applications attach those serial-number notes to the CB750 entries and list this CB650 application separately. Do not transfer those notes between models; still identify the actual caliper and verify the replacement application.
