1982 Honda CB650 · Stock Air Filter Buying guide
Use the old element and housing to verify the filter shape and seating. The reference number provides a clear comparison when the motorcycle’s intake history is uncertain.
The featured stock-type element replaces 17211-460-000 and lists the standard CB650 for 1980–82. Match the actual housing and element, particularly if the bike was assembled from parts. A correct frame year does not establish the identity of a swapped airbox.
A pod-filter or custom-airbox installation needs its own filter dimensions and carburetor setup checks. Do not assume this stock-shaped element will fit a conversion or that changing filter type requires no further assessment. Use the fitted intake as the starting point.
17211-460-000. The featured element is listed as stock type for the standard 1980–82 CB650 airbox.
It is intended for the stock airbox arrangement. A pod-filter conversion needs filters matched to that installation rather than a stock-shaped airbox element.
Compare the housing, old element and any visible part references, and provide photographs if needed. The motorcycle’s model name alone does not identify a replacement intake assembly.
