The 1980 cable listing is 51-2305, 40.75 inches long, with Honda reference 44830-356-000 / 44830-426-830. At the original front-wheel drive, Honda shows a set screw retaining the lower cable end. Match that attachment, the instrument-end connection and the routed length if the wheel, bars or gauge have changed.
The plug measures 15mm outside diameter and 22mm long, and is described for protecting the original speedometer drive gear. Confirm the intended drive arrangement before selecting it. It does not provide a cable connection or restore a malfunctioning speedometer by itself.
No. The original lower connection is retained by a set screw. Check that wheel-end fitting separately from the gauge-end connection and follow the correct year’s wheel and cable procedure rather than relying on a generic cable description.

No. The 15 mm-diameter, 22 mm-long plug closes the original wheel-drive opening after the cable has been removed. It supplies neither a speed sensor nor the wiring and calibration needed for an electronic speedometer.
