1972 Honda CB750K · Mounts, Rubbers & Hardware Buying guide

Identify the missing piece around each gauge

This category combines gauge mounting parts with restoration pieces for the instrument housing. A clamp, meter rubber, internal seal and lens are different purchases, even when their listings refer to the same gauges.

Keep mounting and internal restoration pieces separate

The internal seal is specified for stock-type Honda CB750 ND-brand gauges. The external meter rubber is a different part, with one specified per speedometer or tachometer. Identify the gauge maker and the rubber’s location before choosing.

Review the small exclusions before a gauge rebuild

The linked replacement glass is a pair of 92 mm lenses, described with a slight curve. Check whether the restoration needs glass, an internal seal or the external meter rubber before combining those separate products.

Common questions

Does a replacement clamp come with bolts and washers?

The clamps exclude hardware. The separate eight-piece hardware set is described for both the speedometer and tachometer clamps, so check that package before ordering two sets.

Will the internal seal fit a custom replacement gauge?

Its application is stock-type Honda CB750 ND-brand gauges. Identify the gauge maker and construction before choosing it for a custom instrument; the motorcycle’s year does not establish the seal inside a replacement gauge.

Will every gauge cover clear the tripmeter reset?

Check the specific cover. The decorative chrome cover set describes a reset cutout, while the black metal cover set says it lacks the side hole and must be drilled if required. Match that detail to your speedometer before ordering.
