1982 Honda CB900C Custom · Body Decal Sets Buying guide
A set provides coordinated artwork, but the chosen colour scheme and bodywork still need to match. Check the package image and stripe joins before arranging the pieces for your restoration.
The available package contains five pieces for the 1982 Custom’s stated blue colour scheme. Review the actual artwork as a set before purchasing replacements for only part of a motorcycle that may have been repainted or restriped at an earlier date.
These decals are adhesive-backed reproductions with a protective coating. Follow the supplier’s surface-preparation instructions and account for the required tank-stripe overlap during positioning. Compare the supplied artwork with the intended panel layout before applying any piece.
Its application is the Candy Empire Blue / Candy Blue graphics scheme, not every paint colour used on a 1982 CB900C. Compare the intended finished colour and complete artwork before buying a five-piece set for a partly restored or previously restriped motorcycle.
No paint-system compatibility is specified. Follow the decal supplier’s preparation instructions and confirm compatibility with the refinisher before adding another coating. Adhesive backing and a protective finish do not by themselves approve a particular paint or solvent.
The fuel-tank stripes are intended to overlap. Check their complete alignment before applying them, preserving enough material for the specified joins rather than cutting the stripes shorter to remove the overlap.
