One Japanese-made exhaust valve replacing Honda OEM 14721-377-000 is included. The four-cylinder CB400F uses four exhaust valves, so four are required to replace every exhaust valve in one engine.

Can a new 14721-377-000 exhaust valve be installed in a worn guide?

No. Measure valve-stem-to-guide clearance and inspect the valve seat, guide, spring, retainer and keepers. Repair the guide and machine the seat as needed so the new valve runs concentrically and seals correctly.

What must be adjusted after CB400F valve installation?

Confirm installed spring height, cam timing and piston-to-valve clearance during assembly, then set valve clearance to the Honda specification. Recheck clearance after the initial heat cycles if the engine builder recommends it.
