How many exhaust-pipe joint collars are included and required for a DOHC CB750F?

One genuine Honda collar, OEM 18233-438-000, is included. The 1979-1982 CB750F exhaust uses eight of these half-collars—two at each of the four cylinder-head exhaust joints.

Should the exhaust gaskets be replaced with the collars?

Inspect and normally replace the four cylinder-head exhaust gaskets during removal. Gaskets, flange joints and mounting hardware are separate unless specifically supplied.

How should the exhaust flanges be tightened?

Seat the collars evenly around each pipe, start all fasteners by hand and tighten the flanges gradually and evenly to Honda specifications. Uneven assembly can cock the pipe or create an exhaust leak.
