Frequently Asked Questions

Will the 1-inch closed-end Amal Barrel-style grips fit stock Honda CB handlebars?

Usually not. Most stock Honda CB handlebars and controls are 7/8 inch, while these grips are for a 1-inch bar and matching throttle sleeve. Measure both the clutch side and throttle assembly before ordering.

Can bar-end mirrors or weights be used with these grips?

Not without modifying or replacing the closed ends. Plan the bar-end hardware before installation because cutting the grip can affect finish and retention.

Should grip adhesive or safety wire be used?

Use the installation method recommended for the grip and handlebar material. Both grips must be secure, and the throttle-side grip must not rub the housing or prevent the throttle from snapping closed.
