Frequently Asked Questions

What is the adjustable clutch and sprocket holder used for?

It holds a compatible clutch basket or sprocket stationary while the retaining fastener is loosened or tightened. It is a service tool, not a replacement clutch part.

What must be checked before applying torque with the holder?

Adjust the tool so its contact points engage strong, undamaged features fully and cannot slip into teeth, aluminum edges or sealing surfaces. Support the assembly and follow the correct fastener direction.

Does the holder replace the correct socket and torque procedure?

No. Use it only to resist rotation while the proper socket loosens the fastener or a calibrated torque wrench tightens it to the Honda specification.
