Frequently Asked Questions

How many Honda 30500-292-672-style ignition coils are included and required?

One 12-volt, 5-ohm single-output coil with attached 19-inch spark-plug wire is included. The listed Honda twins use two single-output coils, so two are required to replace both.

Which Honda ignition-coil numbers does 17-6923 replace?

It cross-references Honda 30500-292-672, 30500-312-000, 30500-286-004, 30500-286-007 and 30500-310-670 and has approximately 80mm mounting-hole spacing.

Why may replacement coil 17-6923 need to face the opposite direction?

When replacing a beige Honda coil, mount the new coil backward because its primary wires exit on the opposite side. Route the leads and high-tension wire without strain or contact with heat and moving parts.
