1982 Honda CB650 · Fuse Boxes & Cover Hardware Buying guide

Check the fuse box’s electrical and mounting condition

A complete box and a missing-screw repair are different purchases. Compare the connector and support tabs, then select the smallest documented repair that addresses the actual condition of the assembly.

Check condition before comparing prices

The featured regular assembly is supplied with 15-amp fuses. A separately listed discounted version discloses damaged mounting tabs, so the two should not be treated as equivalent-condition purchases. Have any damaged electrical mounting assessed rather than adopting improvised fastening advice.

Keep the cover secure with matching screws

The cover screw set contains two black screws replacing 93700-05020-0G. Compare the existing cover and mounting threads before ordering. Replacement screws address missing or damaged hardware; worn contacts or deteriorated wiring require their own assessment.

Buying questions

What should I do if a fuse keeps blowing?

Use only the rating specified for that circuit and motorcycle. Repeated fuse failure calls for diagnosis of a short, overload or component fault; do not fit a larger fuse to mask it.

Why is another fuse box listed at a discount?

The damaged-tabs version explicitly discloses mounting damage. Check its condition carefully; this guide features the regular assembly rather than assuming the discounted unit needs no additional work.

What needs checking before a replacement fuse box is energized?

Disconnect the battery, then inspect the old box, terminals and nearby harness for heat damage, corrosion, loose connections or pinched wiring. Correct the underlying fault before energizing the replacement.

Not sure which part you need?

Send your model and year, plus photos of your existing part and any changes to the original setup.
