Check the surrounding rubber and hardware

The piston sealing ring and dust boot are separate choices, not an implied complete kit. Inspect the caliper, shaft boot and bleed fitting during dismantling. Use the appropriate service information for cleaning, inspection, assembly and brake-system checks.

Are the seal and dust boot supplied with the piston?

The piston record does not say whether rubber parts are included. The separate sealing-ring product supplies one hydraulic seal, and the dust-boot product supplies one boot. Confirm the piston package before duplicating parts, then order for the inspected caliper.

Can the piston dust boot replace the hydraulic sealing ring?

What if the caliper has been changed?
