2006 Honda CB900F 919 · Battery Retaining Band Buying guide
The 5.25-inch (133 mm) dimension describes the band between the inside bracket edges. Match the ends and actual battery-retaining arrangement as well as the length.
The seller specifies 5.25 inches, or 133 mm, inside bracket to bracket. An outside-end or rubber-only measurement uses different points. Compare the mounting ends and the fitted battery shape too; electrical capacity does not identify a retaining band.
The 2006 USA/Canada owner manual locates the battery behind the right side cover and identifies its retaining strap. Check that arrangement, both attachment points and the battery shape. A replacement band cannot repair a damaged tray or hook, and changed batteries or trays need a fresh fit check.
From the inside of one bracket to the inside of the other, as specified by the seller. Compare the mounting ends too; battery-case length and rubber-only length use different measuring points.
It should hold the battery securely without crushing the case or bearing against terminals and wiring. Check both attachment points and the band route; a damaged tray or hook needs its own repair.
Check the installed battery shape, retaining points and band route directly. Matching voltage, capacity or motorcycle year does not establish the physical fit around an altered battery installation.
