Frequently Asked Questions

Which Honda gasket does this replace?

One gasket cross-referenced to Honda OEM 11691-425-000 seals the alternator cover on the listed DOHC CB750, CB900, CB1000C and CB1100F engines.

What should be checked before installing the cover gasket?

Remove old material without gouging the aluminum, clean and inspect both mating surfaces for damage or distortion and position every dowel correctly.

How should the cover be tightened with a new gasket?

Follow the Honda sequence and torque specification and avoid excess sealant that can squeeze into the engine. Recheck for oil leakage after the engine has run.
