Frequently Asked Questions

Which cam chain accepts the 01-8816 rivet link?

One rivet link is included for an 82RH2015 silent cam chain. Chain series and dimensions must match exactly; it should not be substituted for a BS05MH, D.I.D. 219T, 412 or 412H link.

What is needed to install an 82RH2015 cam-chain rivet link?

The old link must be pressed out and the new link correctly peened with a suitable cam-chain breaker and riveter. Tool SKU 35-0112 is available separately; verify free link movement and secure rivet heads before turning the engine.

Is this a clip-style cam-chain connecting link?

No. This is a rivet link for an exact 82RH2015 silent cam chain. It must be pressed and peened with a suitable chain tool, and it should only be used with the matching chain.
