Frequently Asked Questions

How many Honda 18291-MM5-860 exhaust-port gaskets are included and required?

One exhaust headpipe gasket is included. The compatible four-cylinder Honda engines use four exhaust ports, so four gaskets are required to reseal all four headpipes.

Should an old exhaust-port gasket be reused?

No. The crush gasket deforms to seal the headpipe flange and should be replaced whenever that joint is disturbed. Remove the old gasket from the port before fitting the new one.

What should be checked after exhaust installation?

Seat each headpipe squarely, tighten the flange hardware evenly to the Honda specification and check for exhaust leakage after the engine is started and again after a heat cycle.
