Frequently Asked Questions

How many DOHC Honda friction Plate #1 discs are included and required?

One friction plate replacing Honda OEM 22201-425-000 is included. Seven Plate #1 discs are required in the listed CB750, CB900, CB1000 and CB1100 clutch stacks.

Does the DOHC clutch use only seven identical friction plates?

No. The compatible clutch also uses one separate Friction Plate #2, Honda OEM 22202-425-000. Preserve the specified plate order.

How should a new friction plate be prepared?

Coat or soak it in the same motorcycle engine oil specified for the clutch, then inspect the complete stack, basket and steel plates and assemble everything in the Honda-specified sequence.
